Managing your family account
Can I add more than one child?
Yes. One account holds a profile for each of your children, and each child gets their own practice, reports and weekly challenges. Each child needs their own subscription. Add a child with "Add student" in Family settings. A brother or sister joining a subscribed child gets a discount on their first month, applied automatically at checkout.
I signed my children up on different emails. Why can I only see one?
Each login shows the children on that account. If each child was signed up with a different email, log out and log in with the other email to see your other child.
How do I reset my password?
Log out, then choose "Forgot password?" on the login page and enter the email you signed up with. We'll email you a link to set a new password. If you sign in with Google, your password is managed by Google, so change it there.
When does my child move up a level?
Levels move up automatically in the first week of November, ready for the new school year. If your child needs to move sooner, email us and we'll change it for you.
Can I refer a friend?
Yes. Once you are a paying member, your Account page shows your own referral link under "Referral". Friends who sign up with it get money off their first month.

How does the 7-day free trial work?
You add a card when you start, and nothing is charged for 7 days. Your child can use everything on Playwrite during the trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the plan you picked continues automatically. The trial ends exactly 7 days after you start it, at the same time of day, not at midnight. You can see the date and time in Family settings, next to your child's name.
When will I be charged, and how much?
Your first payment is taken when the trial ends. On the monthly plan it is $27.90, then the same amount every month. On the annual plan it is one payment of $238.80 for the year, which works out to $19.90 a month, then once a year. All prices are in SGD, per child.
How do I cancel?
Open Family settings (Account > Settings in the app), open the menu on your child's row and choose "Cancel free trial" or "Cancel subscription". During the trial, cancelling ends the trial straight away and you won't be charged. After the trial, cancelling stops all future renewals, and your child keeps access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Can I get a refund?
Once the trial has ended and your plan has started, payments are not refundable. This includes a cancellation that comes in shortly after the trial ends, so do check your trial end date in Family settings. Cancelling stops all future renewals, and your child keeps full access until the end of the paid period. If your plans have changed, email us at hello@playwrite.sg. We can often help in other ways, such as moving the plan to a younger sibling, or to Playwrite Secondary after PSLE. If you were charged by mistake, for example twice for the same child, we'll refund the extra payment.
Something looks wrong with a charge. What should I do?
Email us at hello@playwrite.sg with the email you signed up with and the date and amount of the charge, and we'll look into it. Please contact us before raising a dispute with your bank, as it is the quickest way to sort things out.
Can I switch between the monthly and annual plans?
Yes. In Family settings, choose "Change plan" on your child's row. During the free trial, the new plan starts when the trial ends, and you aren't charged before then. On a paid plan, you can review the change on a secure Stripe page before you confirm it.
How do I change my card or find my receipts?
On a paid plan, choose "Change payment method" on your child's row in Family settings to add a card or pick a different one, and "Payment history" to see past payments. During the free trial the card can't be changed in the app yet, so email us and we'll send you a secure link to add a new one before the trial ends.
