Questions parents ask
What is situational writing in PSLE?
The shorter task in Paper 1. Your child writes a piece such as an email, letter, speech or article for a given purpose and reader, using the information in the pictures and the task. It is marked out of 14: 6 for content and 8 for language.
What format should my child use for situational writing?
The one the task asks for. An email or letter needs a greeting and a sign-off that suit the reader, a speech opens by addressing the audience, and an article needs a title and a byline. Playwrite checks the format against the task every time.
How can my child score well in situational writing?
