- Use Your Own Questions: Snap a photo of a school worksheet, and Playwrite auto-converts it into a composition / oral / situational writing question. Your child gets feedback on the exact questions they're already writing for school.

No. Playwrite is a self-paced practice and marking platform, not a tutor. There are no live classes or fixed schedules. ### What do I have to do as a parent to use Playwrite?
Very little. Playwrite sets the weekly practice, marks everything instantly, and tracks progress for you. Your role is simply to encourage your child to keep the weekly habit, and to glance at the Reports page to see how they are improving.

### Can I use one account for more than one child?
Yes. One household membership covers all your children, each with their own profile, weekly plan and progress tracking. Each child's writing and skills are tracked independently.

### Are there any marking limits?
Daily limits exist, but they are generous and set well above what any P3–P6 child writes in a day. They are there to prevent abuse and keep marking fast for everyone. If a limit is hit, marking resumes the next morning; the rest of Playwrite stays usable.

### What devices does Playwrite work on?
Any modern web browser on a tablet, laptop or desktop. Writing-heavy tasks (composition, situational writing) work best on a device with a keyboard. There's no app to install. Your child just opens the browser.

### Do you support the secondary school curriculum?
Yes. Playwrite Secondary covers the O-Level English syllabus, with composition and situational writing marked against the official O-Level rubrics. Use the Primary / Secondary toggle in the top navigation to learn more about the secondary version.

## FAQ (Secondary, for students)

### What essay types does Playwrite mark?
Narrative, descriptive, expository, argumentative, and situational writing. All the formats that come up in O-Level Paper 1, with the marking rubric adapting to the essay type.

### Can I upload handwritten essays?
Yes. Take a photo of your draft and upload it; the report comes back the same as for typed essays, scored against the rubric with line-by-line feedback.

### Isn't this just ChatGPT?
No. Playwrite scores against the actual MOE O-Level rubrics (not generic 'good writing' advice), marks the bands separately for content and language, and shows you which sub-skills are pulling your grade down. Every comment is tied to a specific line of your essay.

### Will the AI write my essay for me?
No, and that's the point. You write the essay, we mark it. The model rewrite is shown after your draft so you can see how to improve, not so you can submit it as your own.

### How is this different from a tutor?
A tutor marks one essay a week and costs $300–$400 a month. Playwrite marks essays as fast as you can write them, against the rubric, every week. It doesn't replace a good tutor, but most students don't have one.
